Halifax Waterfront Submarine Playground
Waterfront Development Corporation Ltd. received an internationally juried award for this custom playground. Outside! led a collaborative creative process including a children’s design charette, engaging with engineers, provincial and municipal agencies, marine designers, boat builders, safety consultants, and artists to create this custom play space. The submarine was popular enough to appear on an episode of The Simpsons!
