Keshen Goodman Outdoor Library
The Keshen Goodman Outdoor Library boasts new landscaping in addition to a series of new outdoor rooms, including “pencil” hammocks, a café patio, and an outdoor stage. The new resident mascot/gnome sculpture was named Jerome the Gnome by a young Keshen Goodman Outdoor Library friend, Abby, who won the honour in a naming contest.

The outdoor spaces at Keshen Goodman Outdoor Library are an excellent example of an enhanced 21st century library experience.
In addition to providing an essential social and cultural gathering space, the Outdoor Library serves its community through Halifax Public Library programming, initiated thanks to its recent outdoor library mandate.
