Halifax Central Outdoor Library

Halifax Central Library is an international award-winning building with dynamic programming. Outside! transformed the south-facing plaza into an outdoor library destination featuring a shade-sail array for weather protection, new lighting, and a border of custom undulating benches and planters housing a wide variety of plants.

These elements provide new and exciting day and nighttime programming opportunities for the library and public. Haligonians already embrace this wonderful library and the new outdoor space gives all of us another reason to love our local library.
